Auxiliary Corner

Hello Family,

I hope everyone is staying warm, Spring will be here before we know it.

February has been a busy month prepping for the fish fry and started off with a great day on 02/24. Wehave a few events coming up in the future that we are preparing to support, and we need help!

At our last meeting, we had 3 new members, Elizabeth Swearingen, Walter Nesity, and Andrea Nesity.
Let’s all wish them a warm welcome.

Don’t forget our monthly drawing. March 4th is the Post’s next monthly drawing at 7:00 PM.

Our yearly fish fry’s will continue through Good Friday.  The hours will remain the same as last year
and will be from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM. We need volunteers to make this a great fundraiser. To my
knowledge, we are the only place around that has lake perch. In addition, we will have chicken fingers
and shrimp. Also, for St. Patty’s Day we will have smoked corned beef Brisket with cabbage and potatoes, yummy! The Auxiliary will again be doing a bake sale, so we need help with baked good
donations.

Kentucky Derby event for Warriors Journey Home is May 6th.  The Auxiliary will be looking for
volunteers to help setup/decorate and tear down the event. This is a great opportunity to support our
veterans and a great organization.  Tickets will be $25 and can be purchased at the canteen, they are
limited.

Taps…

Please keep the Kalbach Family in our prayers, Kathy passed away in February. If you know of any
other auxiliary members that may be sick or in need of prayers, please let an auxiliary officer know.
This will allow us to add them to the sick call list.  It’s greatly appreciated.

Our next meeting will be held on Monday March 13th at 6:00 PM at the Post. Hope to see you there
and please remember to thank a veteran today. Voting for new officers will be at the meeting on April
10 th  plan to be there to support the auxiliary.

God Bless,
David Golec
