News from the Commander
I want to thank our Auxiliary for purchasing a brick for our post that will be at the Silverlake Memorial Garden. They plan on the Dedication of the garden by November 11, Veterans Day. I want to remind everyone about our monthly cruise in that the time has changed to 10:00 Am to 2:00Pm. We will also have breakfast items available and then change to a lunch menu. Also, there will be trophies awarded at this show.

News from the Auxiliary President
Hello, can you believe how fast summer is going? It will be Fall before we know it.
Thank you to all who donated clothing and shoes to the Amvets. It is greatly appreciated!
We are having the Monthly Cruise-In on Saturday August 6th from 10am-2pm. Please come and see some beautiful cars, trucks, & bikes. We could use the support.
Sunday August 14th at 1pm is district 8 picnic. This is being held at the Northfield VFW Post 9874. Covered dishes are appreciated! I would love to get a group together and go.
Save the date for Sunday Sept 24th for our Posts picnic, more information to follow.
We are still looking for a fundraiser idea so please feel free to reach out.
We are taking donations again through the middle of August for school supplies for Preston school. Please drop off donations at the post.
In October we are having a 31-fundraiser party and we are doing a fish dinner. More information to follow. We can really use volunteers when we do events. Remember many hands make light work.
Our next meeting is Monday Aug 8th at 6pm. Please come and remember to thank a Veteran today.
