From the Commander
Our Monthly Cruse-in is this Saturday the 7th from 12:00 to 4:00 and all cars and trucks are welcome, old or new and food will be available. We also have a car show on the 15th of this month called Chick’s ride 2, from 12:00 to 4:00. Donation $10.00, judging begins at 2:00 and the proceeds go to help local boy scouts. There will be Trophies, 50/50, Food and Fun. All cars, trucks and bikes are welcome. Lets celebrate the memory of this Veteran and fellow car enthusiast.
On the 2nd of October will be our annual VFW Picnic from 12:00 to 6:00 Pm. Our post will supply the meat and we would appreciate side dishes to share. We can also use some help from volunteers to make this a great time for all.
We are still collecting school supplies for Preston School that we support. All donations are greatly appreciated and you can also donate cash and we will buy what is needed that wasn’t already donated. There is a box in the club and also envelope’s if needed.
We have extended our hours that kids are allowed to be in the club which used to be 9:00 Pm and we changed it to 10:00 Pm. We want our club to be Family friendly so come to the post and have a great time. We are working hard to make our post better as time goes on. We are trying to do allot of activities and fundraisers at the post so we can fix our parking lot which is in bad shape. My goal is to have this completed at least before our 100 Anniversary which will be in August 2023, so I hope to can join us at the club to make this happen. Hopefully things don’t go back to the way it was when we had the shutdown, we all experienced last year. Again, I hope to see you soon at the post.

Can you believe it’s August already? The summer is flying by. Before we know it we will be blowing leaves.
I am so proud of our Auxiliary as the new year is going very well. We have so many of you eager to make a change and have had so many volunteers at the post and events we are doing. Your work is greatly appreciated.
One of our goals this year is for us to do many fundraisers and help get more people involved and make a huge impact on our community and our Veterans. That’s why we are here right?
Our next meeting well be held on Monday August 15th at 7:00pm. We are looking for fundraiser ideas so please come and share what you may have in mind. We would love to see you. As always remember to thank a Veteran today.
