From the Commander
Summer is here and the Covid19 restrictions have been finally lifted so I hope to see a lot more of you at the Post. At our last meeting we did the installation of Officers, this year a few new people stepped up and would like to thank them in advance. Your Officers for 2021-2022 are as follows:

Our Post Cruise-Ins are the first Saturdays of the month from 12:00 to 4:00 and will be going thru the month of October. I have met a lot of new people while attending these cruise-ins and it is great exposure for our Post because a lot of people don’t know about our Post and what are mission is. We are always in need of volunteers or just come and enjoy all of the vehicles that are here. Don Sitts is our sponsor for our cruise-in and I want to personnel that him for his support.
Summer at our Post slows down because people are doing a lot of different things while enjoying the weather. We were in the planning stages of having some actives that would include our family’s but because of the past restrictions we put that on hold so in the fall I hope to have some actives planned so we can do more things with our families at the club. If you have any ideas, please bring them to our attention for consideration.
Our Annual Post Picnic is going to be on the 25th of September from 12:00 – 6:00 and side dishes would be appreciated. This year we were able to accomplish a lot during our Post cleanup and I really appreciate all of the hard work that was done by all of you.
Continue to check on the people who are still staying home making sure that they are doing well. I hope everyone has a safe 4th of July.
From the Auxiliary
Summer has finally arrived and the Auxiliary is on fire. It’s a new year for the 2021/2022 Auxiliary. At the last meeting that was held on Monday 6/21/2021 all of our new officers were inducted. If you happen to see any of the new officer’s please be sure to congratulate them. Please welcome Stephanie Gobrogge as the President, Kathy Kalbach as the Sr Vice President, John Stanfield as our JR Vice President, David Golec as our new Secretary and Trustee No 3. Benny Gobrogge as our Trustee No 2. and Mary Munn as our Trustee No 1. Cathy Honsaker is our new Guard and Conductress. We are all so excited for the next upcoming year as a team along with all of our Auxiliary members we are going to make a difference.
Memorial Day was a huge success! Our Auxiliary and some post members volunteered and we had a lot of food. No Veterans had to cook this year as we had so many volunteers and we are greatly humbled by all the help we received. It was a great turnout.
The Lottery board is going stronger than ever. We now have 2 boards going. The $2.00 lottery board consists of a $50.00 bill and $50.00 worth of Tickets. The new $5.00 lottery board has a $150.00 cash and $150.00 worth of Tickets. We are drawing the winners after we sell all of the tickets at the following Queen of Hearts drawing.
We have 1 new applicant we want to welcome. His name is Fred Potok. Be sure to say hello when you stop into the post if he’s there.
On Friday June 25th our Auxiliary hosted our first Paint N Sip party. We painted a patriotic flag and it went very well. We had individual cheese plates and everyone got to enjoy a drink while having fun and laughing at their friends’ paintings. It went so well that quite a few people asked about doing another one. We are thinking maybe around Christmas we will do another one. Stay tuned.
